*Welcome to our weekly snapshot of TV by the numbers, highlighting the most-watched shows and networks for September 16-22, with insights from* [*Inscape*](http://inscape.tv/?ref=tvrev2beta2.ghost.io)*, the currency-grade smart TV ACR data provider and data technology division of Vizio. Data is linear, live TV only and includes all episode types (new and reruns). Rankings are by percent share duration (i.e., time spent watching).*

September means sports, sports and more sports: The top five spots of the ranking were steady week-over-week, with the NFL in first place but increasing its viewership share from 7.32% previously to 7.52%, while college football upped its watch-time from 5.25% to 5.66%. MLB games also saw a slight increase in minutes watched but retains its third-place position, and NFL RedZone moves up one spot to fifth place.

Some additional insights around the top TV programming:

- Fox News owns eight of the top 25 programs, with all seeing week-over-week increases in watch-time except for *Hannity*, which maintained its 0.44% viewership share but slipped from No. 18 to No. 20.
- Two of the Fox News programs were week-over-week chart newcomers: *Gutfeld!* (No. 21) and *The Ingraham Angle* (No. 23).
- Reruns on TBS fueled the rise of beloved sitcoms *Friends* (from No. 21 to No. 15) and *The Big Bang Theory* (from No. 23 to No. 18).
- *The OT* and *SpongeBob SquarePants* were two other ranking newcomers, landing at No. 14 and No. 25, respectively.

On the TV network side of things, Fox claims first place with over 8% of minutes watched during the week — [Get the details on The Measure](https://www.themeasure.net/football-fuels-foxs-rise-to-no-1-on-tv-network-ranking/?ref=tvrev2beta2.ghost.io).
