You’d think there was a limit on how much sports content audiences could watch across all screens, but apparently we’ve yet to reach that point. Data from [Tubular Labs’ Q4 category infographics](https://tubularlabs.com/research-guides/category-infographics/?ref=tvrev2beta2.ghost.io) revealed that YouTube views for sports-related videos grew 33% year-over-year as of October 2022.

- Interestingly, lumberjack sports and sports for people with disabilities had high views, but minimal uploads relative to other categories within sports.
- Soccer, meanwhile, wasn’t getting the same audience despite its global popularity and greater volume of videos (though that is likely to change when looking again in Q1 after a thrilling World Cup in November and December).
- While sports media rights reach dizzying heights and continue to buoy TV, they’re also fueling growth on social video platforms — especially with younger audiences looking for more snackable highlights over full games.
